OFF-ICE FITNESS TRAINING
Success in skating on any level requires exceptional physical fitness in ways that are generally not acquired through play or daily life. Combined with a fitness assessment, off-ice training can provide faster breakthroughs in technical on-ice skills as well as contribute to injury prevention.
Fitness Assessments provide a detailed profile of a skater’s strengths and weaknesses which can be used to develop the most functional, detailed and specific sport training plans individualized for the athlete. Choose the assessment that works for you!
Get the most out of your assessments with easy to understand results and advice for each style of test performed.

Podium Performance Training will be a leader in all off-ice training practices for figure skating. We strive to be an integrated support team who works together to provide exceptional knowledge, skills and support to other coaches and skaters that cover all aspects of figure skating training – making sure skaters are physically ready and psychologically prepared for a Podium Performance. Podium Performance Training is designed by figure skaters for figure skaters. All members of our team are specialized in figure skating, and are working toward the development of off-ice training or psychological techniques. This includes the creation of standards for fitness at all levels of skating through fitness assessments as well as year-round program planning. Our team uses higher education and experience to both study current and historical techniques as well as think critically to develop new systems and practices.
